Abstract
In this paper author explains the problem of legal protection of environment and presents the concept of environmental damage in international law. The author underlines various attempts which have been made in order to resolve this viral problem and difficulties against which international organisations are faced. It is stated that without support of whole international community, especially from economically developed countries, much needed, immense success can not be made in this field. In this paper it has been shown that in the near future any great improvements that refer to forming unique concept of environmental damage can not be expected, because of the unwillingness of countries to support and implement existed international acts or ratify new ones.
