Abstract
Serbia is one of the first countries in the region that has introduced integrity plans, as instruments of prevention of corruption in public institutions. In order to provide a wider framework for a discussion, the paper, in its first part, analyses the concept of integrity plans and comparative legal experience in integrity management. The central part of the paper examines legal framework on integrity plans in Serbia and the process of its implementation. The author concludes that despite the solid legal framework, only around half of all public institutions have developed integrity plans, which in many instances have not been fully objective in analysis of corruption risks. Although integrity plans have still not proved to be effective corruption prevention mechanisms, they have started the process of raising awareness of institutions to build their own integrity frameworks and system of values, which in itself is a positive and worthwhile development.
